Reservation & Cancellation Information

Reservation and Cancellation Information: 

A toll-free reservation information  line is available for travelers located in North America.  A reservation request may be send by E-mail OR through our secure, on-line Reservation System. (Simply click "on-line reservations"   at the bottom of this page to submit your request. 

We understand that no matter how carefully you plan your holiday, changes sometimes happen; Please be aware that the reservation made for you, means that we have had to turn away others that wished to reserve the Gatehouse Suite. Therefore, our cancellation policy is as follows:

Short-term Reservations (1 to 6 nights)

A 50% deposit, or the cost of one night, whichever is higher, is required and will  be charged to your credit card at the time we confirm the reservation with you.  The balance is due upon arrival.

1.  If notice of Cancellation (all nights  booked are cancelled) is received 14 days or more prior to date of arrival, a refund of the deposit will be issued less a service fee of $30  

2.  "Shortened Stay"  (a partial cancellation when some, but not all, nights are cancelled before date of arrival)
If notice is received 14 days or more prior to date of arrival, the 50% deposit will be applied to the total amount of the remaining days booked, resulting in a balance owing or a refund less the service fee of $30.  If notice is received 14 days or less prior to date of arrival, a cancel fee of $45 applies to each night cancelled. Cancelled nights are non-transferable.

3.  In case of a "no show" the remainder of the days booked will be considered cancelled, as under 1.

Even if a notice of cancellation is received less than 14 days prior to arrival, a refund may still be issued depending on the circumstances, at the discretion of the Host or if the room can be rebooked.
 

Long term Reservations (7 nights or more) 

A special discounted 'internet rate' is available for longer stays.
A 50% deposit is required and will be charged to your credit card at the time we confirm the reservation with you.  The balance is payable at check in. (Please note:  for a long term reservation during the high-season, the entire reservation amount is pre-paid before the date of arrival)

1.   If notice of Cancellation  (all nights booked are cancelled) is received 30 days or more prior to date of arrival, a refund will be issued less a service fee of $30. 

2.  "Shortened Stay" (a partial cancellation, when some, but not all, nights are cancelled before the date of arrival)
The discounted room rate will need to be adjusted only if the number of remaining nights is less than 7. Since the cancelled nights were already pre-paid, you will be issued a refund less the $30 service fee, provided that notice is received 30 days or more before date of arrival. However, if notice is received 30 days or less prior to arrival, the cancelled days become non-refundable and non-transferable.

Even if notice is received less than 30 days prior to arrival, a refund may still be issued depending on the circumstances, at the discretion of the Host or if the room can be rebooked.

Additional Information:

For insurance purposes, the use of the Bed and Breakfast is limited to 2 (two) registered guests only (no visitors please.)  However, we may be able to waive this policy under certain circumstances. Please contact us before making your reservation.

Check-in time is between 4 and 6 pm (or by prior arrangement).  If you expect to arrive later than 6 pm, please be sure to give us a call so that we can make arrangements to be home to welcome you. 

Check-out time is 11 AM on the day of departure.  Please note:  Unless prior arrangements have been made, a late check-out cannot be accommodated.

Pets:  In order to accommodate our guests with allergies we are unable to welcome your furry friend. We will be pleased to recommend an excellent kennel nearby.
